日本、東京、2024年6月5日-すみだ向島EXPO(運営：すみだ向島EXPO実行員会、東京都墨田区）は、2024年10月5日（土）から2024年11月3日（日）の約1月間の会期にて本年度の開催を発表した事をお知らせいたします。

すみだ向島EXPOは、コロナ禍の2020年に始まり、この5年間途切れることなく続いてきた稀有な地域に密着したイベントです。
本年度は、これまでの開催実績を踏まえ歴史あるこの町の営みや暮らし、空気感、そして参加する人々にフォーカスし、それぞれが自由に感じとる余白をあえてコンセプトに掲げます。
EXPOではそれぞれが、空白の括弧『　　』の中を自由な発想と想像力で埋めていくことで、十人十色、参加者の分だけ異なるプロジェクトが生まれていきます。
町にある全てのものをアートに見立て、あなたにとっての作品を見出してください。

◆今年のすみだ向島EXPOが目指すこと◆
この活動は社会実験であり、町づくりであり、アートプロジェクトです。
すみだ向島EXPOをきっかけに人々が町を自由な視点から楽しむことで、他に類のないこのエリアの魅力が広く伝わり、新たな価値が加わり、それが遺されていくことを願っています。
全ての参加者の方々に日々変化し続け、今まさに更に注目されようとしているこの町の目撃者になって欲しいいと考えています。

SUMIDA 『 　』 EXPO - The 『　it　』 you find can surely be art.
Tokyo, Japan, June 5, 2024 - Sumida Mukojima EXPO (Operated by Sumida Mukojima EXPO Organizing Committee, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce that it will be held this year from October 5, 2024 (Saturday) to November 3, 2024 (Sunday), for a period of one month.
Sumida Mukojima Expo is a rare community-based cultural event that began in 2020 in the middle of Covid, and has been held annually for the past five years.
This year, based on the past events themes, we will focus on the activities, lifestyles, and atmosphere of this historic town, as well as the people who participate in the event, and attempt to create a concept of a blank space that each person can freely perceive and imagine.This concept was created based on the experience of Food artist,Rua Soda, who has been active in community development through food performance and art festivals in various regions of Japan.

At the EXPO, each participant is free to fill in the blank space of the concept with his or her own ideas and imagination, resulting in a project that is as different as the participants themselves.
We invite you to find your own work of art by using everything in the town as art.
